The album was recorded without overdubbing, using two microphones to capture sound from the left and right, as well as a third microphone whose signal passes through various mostly guitar effects.

All of this creates a unique sonic landscape that is interconnected
yet distinct, all stemming from a single source: the voice. It's an
exploration of the voice using various vocalization techniques in
combination with electronics. I am interested in the voice as an
instrument, not just as a conveyer of meaning. I entered a world
without meanings, to which the listener's brain can assign its own
significance.

The album is a continuation of the conceptual album "Paintings"
released last year. If last year I wanted to narrate with my voice,
this year I let the music do the storytelling. The published
improvisations are more interesting excerpts from two longer
improvisations that had a certain flow during recording. I feel that
the format of recorded improvisation allows for the release of
shorter, more song-like formats that are more listener-friendly. This
way, the listener doesn't have to devote extended periods of time to
the music as they would during a live concert.
